Atlanta Beltline Southside Trail Updates – Segments 2 & 3

Southside Trail (Pittsburgh Yards is located on the Atlanta Beltline Southside Trail Segments 2/3)

Southside Trail Segments 2+3: This project, which extends 1.9 miles from west of I-75/85 to Boulevard, was released for construction in May of 2024. Wall construction is underway at the Pryor Road Bridge, Hill Street, and the Skylark Apartments near Boulevard. Rough grading started south of D.H. Stanton Park, and the 1st trail concrete pour at Pittsburgh Yards®
Segment 2 occurred in December.
Landscaping is in progress between Pittsburgh Yards and the Pryor Road bridge.
Trail concrete is scheduled to be poured by March 2026, with the Milton and Boulevard crosswalks expected to be completed by mid-April.

Unexpected environmental remediation work has affected the schedule, but the trail will be open and accessible during FIFA World Cup 26™, with some construction activities possibly continuing afterward. We will continue to keep the community informed on progress.
