Shipping Containers Offer Affordable Housing, Entrepreneurial Space Alternative

ReJuve, an Atlanta-based, women-and minority-owned nonprofit recently launched Plug-In-Pods, shipping containers repurposed as affordable housing and entrepreneurial spaces in low-wealth communities.

It started as an crowdfunding campaign to build a prototype, which recently led to a contract in the 31-acre Pittsburgh Yards development along the Southside BeltLine corridor.
