International CoWorking Day – August 9th!

August 9

It’s a day to honor independent professionals, entrepreneurs, and teams working side by side under one roof, and make their stories visible.

At Pittsburgh Yards, this year we celebrate our community of over 80 coworking members, people who choose this space not just for a desk, but for connection, energy, and shared purpose. Coworking is proven to support collaboration and innovation. One study found firms in coworking spaces were more likely to evolve new business models, and nearly 87% of users say they connect socially or professionally inside coworking environments.

Globally the coworking market reached $22 billion in 2024 and is expected to grow rapidly to over $80 billion by 2034. The appeal is clear: flexible workspace, access to community, productivity gains, and creative support, not to mention cost savings and on‑site amenities.

Our members are diverse, from solo entrepreneurs and creative artists to remote professionals, startups, and local nonprofits. They benefit from privacy rooms, high-speed wifi, kitchens, multiple event spaces, and access to Beltline trail energy just outside our doors. Many arrive with one goal and leave with collaborations, partnerships, and ideas that wouldn’t have happened at home.

This Coworking Day, we invite visitors to tour the Nia Building, meet members in action, and experience what makes Pittsburgh Yards more than an office—it’s a Place of Purpose. We’ll hold a special open house, mini meet-and-greet, and provide discounted trial days for new coworkers. Whether you work for yourself or with a team, August 9th is your moment to see how connection and community transform work.

Stop by, meet our members, and discover why Pittsburgh Yards isn’t just space—it’s where entrepreneurs thrive, collaborate, and grow.
